Landing at Iguazu
Along the journey the helicopter will pass over many different natural environments, these are called biomes.
Each biome is a large natural region home to animals and plants adapted to survive in the climate and particular conditions of that place. Find out what they look like and about the climate of the place.
Biomes have always changed with the history of life on earth, species adapt and change to different conditions. However there are concerns that the speed of change is increasing threatening the future of each biome. many of these threats come from people. Continued abuse of the biomes will result in permanent damage. They can be used sustainably so that no permanent damage happens, but people have to understand that what they do can have an undesired effect.
Here's an activity to help you get to know about the different biomes.
